# System Requirements

AP Buddy is designed to run reliably on most modern desktop systems.

### ✅ Supported operating systems

* **Windows 10 or later (64-bit)**
* **macOS 10.13 High Sierra or later**
  * Compatible with both Intel and Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) Macs

### ✅ Hardware requirements

* **Memory:**
  * 8 GB RAM minimum
  * 16 GB RAM or more recommended for heavier workloads
* **Disk space:**
  * At least 2GB free space for installation, logs, and temporary file storage
  * Additional storage recommended for cached files and backups (e.g., invoices)

### ✅ Software prerequisites

* No additional runtime installations required — AP Buddy bundles all dependencies.
* Chrome is not required — AP Buddy uses its own embedded Chromium instance.

* AP Buddy does **not officially support Linux**.
* Performance may vary on older or lower-spec machines.
* **If you’re unsure whether your computer will run AP Buddy: just give it a shot!**\
  It’s a cross-platform Electron app with a Node/Puppeteer backend and should work well on nearly any reasonably modern machine.
