# Installation

#### macOS

* **Intel Macs:**\
  Download the DMG file indicated with `(Intel)` in the filename (e.g., `AP Buddy 1.0.26.3 (Intel).dmg`).
* **Apple Silicon Macs:**\
  Download the standard DMG (e.g., `AP Buddy 1.0.26.3.dmg`).

Steps:

1. Double-click the downloaded DMG.
2. In the popup window, drag and drop the **AP Buddy icon** into your **Applications folder**.
3. If prompted, choose **Overwrite** - this will not affect your existing config files.
4. On first launch, macOS may warn you that the app is from an unidentified developer.
   * Right-click AP Buddy in Applications and select **Open**, then click **Open** again to bypass this warning.
   * You only need to do this the first time.

#### Windows

1. Download the `.exe` installer (e.g., `AP Buddy 1.0.26.3 Setup.exe`).
2. Double-click to run the installer.
3. AP Buddy will automatically install and launch after setup.
